The construction of our new nursing home located at 164 Loch Lomond Road is under way and we are very excited about this project and the positive changes it will have for our residents and staff!
Loch Lomond Villa is committed to providing you with updates on the construction status at regular intervals to keep you up-to-date on “what’s going on”. As with any construction project, there will be questions which we will endeavor to answer for you.
Construction Update (December 16, 2011)
Progress at the site has been exceptional and it is hoped to have the exterior building envelope in place by the end of the year. While all of the siding will not be installed by then, much of the masonry will be complete and a majority of the windows will be in place. The insulated roof system is currently being placed. It is also expected that the two glass covered courtyards will be in hand. This progress with the building envelope will greatly enhance the ability to heat the interior and allow work to progress through the winter months.
Interior work is well underway. Concrete floors are being placed, interior walls are being constructed, and mechanical and electrical systems have begun.
Around the site, rough grading is largely done, several retaining walls are in place, and the detention pond that controls storm water into the City's system is operational. All site services are in place on site and connected to the City services.
